Got in on a wednesday night, direct flight from Miami cost $515 on ACES. I had set up a premo apartment in the Laguito area of town just 3 blocks from La Dulce Vida. and directly on the beach. This apartment was on the 8th floor with 3 bedrooms an upstairs and a downstairs and a huge balcony, complete with hammock (which turned out to be deadly with the chicas) The girls absolutely flipped when they saw the place.
As previose posts have alluded, to La Dulce Vida is ground zero for mongerers here. I have visited this place on three different occasions/ vacations and it has IMHO has gone steadily down hill in regards to quality of woman. You see a lot of the same old faces there from past trips, and really low numbers of girls as well. However. people have told me that May is a rainy month, tourism is low in May and it was election week as well, so my sampaling may not have been an accurate representation.
Bits and pieces....the new hot bar in town and LDV esque type enviroment is a place in old Cartagena called La Garita.It is directly underneath Tu Candela. Lots of Columbians here (mongerers) but also a fair amount of chicas inside and out.The cab drivers apparently get a commison for taking people to the casas' i.e. La Muneca or Manila house. One night I decided to take a trip and see what it was all about. All I can say is that it was a special kind of bad. for example.. board , ugly chain smoking putas, getting pawed by a crew of drunken phillipeno sailors. Not my scene at all so I stayed exactly 2 minutes.
The beach scene...alot has been said about Tony the beach tout, and some TSM/WSG types like to say as a badge of honor "oh I can handle Tony" your best bet is to stay away from him as he is a thief, and worse than that he will hassel you the entire time you are there. IMHO your best bet is to deal with a guy named MICHEAL..his area is (as you face the ocean) to the right of the Las Velas hotel about 100meters. He is honest and best of all he speaks perfect english and has a few interesting stories about fighting the FARC when he was in the Columbian army. MICHEAL charges 4000 pesos for a cabana and a chair all day (about $1.75) He also brought over several girls for my inspection at my bidding.
I had one negative experience with a girl that I took out of LDV. I cute 19year old, with a killer body (flaca about 95 lbs) and a good face. I could tell that her and I did NOT have a good vibe going at all when we were dancing later that night at La Garita, and I should have dumped her right there. Any way took her back to the apt and after doing the hammock thing for awhile proceeded to the bedroom to continue play. After a so so session (sans oral) We both fell asleep and awoke at about 10pm and I discreetly slipped her payment in her pants pocket 60,000 pesos ($27 US dollars). She latter counted the $$$ and demanded more saying that "ES POCO" I countered with 60,000 is what I have always paid..she said no NO NO! I said fine what ever and gave her another 20,000 she said she wanted 10,000 more. I at this point was fed up tired and sick of her money grubbing attitude thru 10,000 more at her and swiftley ejected her from my apartment.
Was I being a cheap charlie?..its true I have always paid 60,000 for all night, what is your guys opinion on the going rate? THIS GIRL WAS THE EXCEPTION TO THE RULE!! All the rest of the girls were very sweet and were happy for what I gave them, which included me buying multiple drinks and preparing a breakfast for her in the morning.The absolute BEST experience I had was on election night eve. I returned to my apartment after going to a movie with an internet date at the shopping mall Castiana. Well, like I said all of the bars were closed so I was a bit bummed out as the town was absolutely DEAD! not even anyone on the streets! To everyone paralised with fear about Columbian crime and kidnapping and tales of missing kidneys RELAX! the closests thing I had to a problem was with that flaca money grubbing chica (see above) otherwise no problems at all..of course I did not wonder off of the beaten path to far. Nor did I get egregiously drunk.
I would suggest you learn as much spanish as you can as this will increase your opportunities with "regular girls" Be advised, if a girl speaks Ittalion red flags should pop up..HARDCORE!
