This report will focus STRICTLY on P4P action in CTG..and a short sidebar to BAQ. --exchange rate January 2003 was about 2700 pesos to the $USD dollar (rate from ATMs)-- This will not be a blow by blow report, as the scene in CTG has been pretty well documented. This will merely be an update to past reports..liberally sprinkled with some opinions. I have visited Colombia five different times and this was clearly my worst trip. If I did not have some contacts from previouse trips this visit would have been ALMOST a total loss.It is a bit of a CLICHE to say on this board "I HAVE HIGH STANDARDS FOR WOMAN" so at this point I will fit the CLICHE and say..."I have high standards for woman"....
I would just asoon go home solo as have sex with a ugly or marginal girl..NEEDLESS TO SAY I WENT HOME SOLO SEVERAL NIGHTS IN CARTAGENA.!!!NOTE TO SELF..NEVER GO TO CARTAGENA AT HIGH SEASON!!!!..i.e. (late dec-mid jan) .Why you ask?...the place is packed..everywhere, you can barely walk or find a taxi.Yes there are many beautiful "Cachacos" in town but those beingTourists from Bogota and Medillon..etc etc. Reason #2 not to go to CTG high season the working girls have left the city for home..you probobly would have better luck scrounging up p4p action in Minot North Dakota. The much ballyhood La Dolce Vida was closed the 31st of december ..and the remainder of the week there was at best a total number of 6-8 girls working..THE VAST MAJORITY (in my subjective opinion)rank in the 4-6 looks RANGE. GRIM INDEED!
Later in January girls started to trickle back to a point were there were 30 girls a night in LDV..that may sound good..BUT..almost all of these girls were "FEA" (less than attractive) and had that hardened edge to them...i.e. chain smoking ...punctuated by frequent trips to the bathroom for cocaine... I talked to a few girls and they requested 200,000 pesos! I just laughed and walked away......(going rate at LDV is 80,000 plus taxi MAYBE! ..and the playa 60,000) On one occasion a girl I had rented from the beach (and paid 60,000 pesos) walked up to me later in LDV and wanted more $$$!!!!
In my opinion these girls at LDV have gotten spoiled by the tourists who will pay these inflated prices and, have developed a real attitude. NO MAS!!Beach action..Used the beach tout Tony...(near the Las Velas) the best he could scrounge up for me were girls that ranked about a 5-6 in the looks department.At this point in the trip I was a bit desperate and compromised myself...YUCK ! :-(Went to a new casa called PLEYBOY club..(NOT PLAYBOY)..It is located on aveneda Bosque, on the same block as La Muneca. As far as CTG casas' go this was a cut above the rest. There were 15 girls working..about 4 of the girls ranked as high as a 6-7.5 in the looks department. The girls were available for outcall with a 80,000 peso bar fine..(about $27 USD)
Pleyboy club has a stage and about every 45 minutes a girl would do a strip show..cervasitas 6000 and cuba libres 12000 the price for the girl herself is negotiable.They have on site rooms if you chose, but all in all I found the place a bit gross. This is not a gringo tourist place and it appeared was visited by all Colombians and or sailors. I was the only gringo in the place.Took a 2 day side trip to Barranquilla..a taxi is 100,000 pesos or you can use a service near the airport which costs 25,000 pesos (per person) ($9USD) the service near the airport uses a cargo van which holds 8 people and is just as fast as the taxi. The happening places in Barranquilla is a place called La Quinta and a place called Frogless..both of these are comparable to Mr Babillas in CTG..only P4P venue visited was a place called Lucitania, similar to Pleyboy club in CTG..generally low quality woman. Why so negative on CTG then you might ask? Well .... I am comming off back to back visits to Rio De Janero in the fall of 2002, and so THE BAR WAS RAISED PRETTY HIGH FOR COLOMBIA!Everyone loves to say how cheap CTG is in comparison to RIO...NOT TRUE!..Actually Cartagena is one of the MOST EXPENSIVE citys in all of Colombia..any person who lives in the country will confirm this..i.e. go to Barranquilla and see for yourself..
Go to LDV spend 80,000 to 100,000 pesos on the girl..plus drinks and taxi..total bill for the night 120,000-140,000 pesos. (about $40-$45 USD) Go to HELP in RIO..spend 150 REIS on the girl ..plus drinks and taxi total bill is 180-200 Reis (about $50-$60 USD)Yes SLIGHTLY more in Rio..but for that $10 you get a smorgasboard of beautiful FLESH..in CTG you get a handful of bitchy spoiled marginally attractive woman.In essence your best bet in CTG is not P4P but regular girls.Although I will maintain that once you find a girl you like in Colombia the GFE expereince seems to be better and not as business like as compared to RIO. After rereading my above report, I may have appeared to come down a bit hard on CTG..and really comparing CTG to RIO is not fair..I mean it is a totally different experience.
It is worth repeating that if you are looking for strictly P4P and beautiful woman in the P4P scene IMHO go to RIO.But if you are looking for 1 or 2 girls for your stay ..and a GFE experince...CTG is a better bet IMHO.Yes, you can find a different girl in CTG every night of the week BUT you had better be prepared to compromise yourself, and your standards.
.... as a footnote.....when visiting the old city of CTG and looking for a place to eat..do yourself a favor and NOT GO to Plaza Santa Domingo..the place is a tourist trap and the constant vendors will drive you crazy i.e FLOWERS,Chiclets, pictures,beads,photos..ETC ETC it never ends..INSTEAD go to Plaza San Pedro or Plaza San Diego..not far away i.e. 4 blocks.
