This trip started as me asking if anyone would travel to Colombia alone and before I knew it, I had 15 guys on the trip. Going to Sosua or other places witha group like this was always fun and I assumed it would be here. Colombia opened my eyes trmendously and one night in LDV, a monger offered one of the hotter girls a lot of money to be his "wife" for 3 days. I smelled trouble and on the second night, the girl's ex boyfriend showed up and a fight almost broke out. I walked away, and never hung with that part of the group again, rather in a group of around 3 guys. Apparantly, I was supposed to risk life and limb to stick up for this guy or at least speak Spanish to him and calm him down. Luckily, Aldo took care of it. Another negative was the fact that the girls saw a large group of Americans and tried to jack up the prices.
I had the best trip of my life and will be back in 8 weeks and learned a lot. I was very amazed at the fact that many of the girls will rather go home with no money than go home with someone they don't like!!! I met non pros and had free sex, which led to expectations and other stuff. Probably the most amazing thing is the fact that many girls will not go right home with you, rather give you their number to set up a date. I assumed this was to see if you could show some commitment. I will start putting in some pics, but i wanted to list a few do's and don'ts I discovered.
Also, probably the best part of the girls here, besides there beauty, was the fact that picking one up wasn't like many places where you bolt to your room, take off your clothes, fuck and watch her go back to look for another gringo. It is more like the girls want one date for the night and will hang with you, dance with you or in front of you if you want to sit, go back and hang around the apt, and basically give some of the best gfe I have ever experienced. When it was time for sex, the girls performed on a scale that can only possible be matched by Rio, from my travels.
DO list..
1. pack
a lot of patience. Nobody is on time and dining out can be a couple hour
experince. 2. use the atms instead of bringing a lot of cash. the exchange
rate is better and changing money can be a hassle. 3. bring other clothes
besides shorts and flip flops. This works in some places, but in CTG, the
girls are well dressed and appreciate a well dressed man. 4. Do know some
Spanish. This can not be understated.
Don't list.
1. Don't
go thinking anyone gives a shit if you are an American. This will get you
in trouble. 2. Don't go with an attitude. 3. Don't look flashy. 4. DO NOT
travel with more than 3-4 guys. This was the most important thing I learned.
The girls tend to have small cliques and it just gets complicated. Also,
you have a much better chance of having an asshole in your group and you
will be judged as a group.
Cartagena has been called a poor man's Rio, but I put it on the top of my list of places i would like to retire to and continue mongering in. It is definitely not a good place to begin mongering and requires a lot of "game" to succeed here. Class and manners go along way. I have learned a lot, missed a lot that I will try to see in 8 weeks, and have also fell in love with this country and have a burning desire to take some of my newly found knowlege and take it to Medellin, which produces some of the finest women in the world. One of the main things I left home was my cockiness and didn't miss it a bit.
